A true leader is one who follows. We believe to lead is to follow, follow Christ. True leadership is best demonstrated through servanthood. Do you want to learn how Jesus impacted his world as a servant? Are you interested in looking deep into the Bible and discovering what true leadership involves? Are you wanting to get deeper in your walk with Jesus? Are you looking for a way to learn how to develop your passion for Christ? Then these programs are for you. Check out the programs listed below and browse through some of the past years to see what the programs are all about.
Students who have completed grades 9-12 have the opportunity to be a part of b.a.s.i.c. discipleship. This is an intensive two week time in which we will learn to be b.a.s.i.c. = “Believing And Serving In Christ”.
The Rundown
We will begin our two weeks together with an offsite overnight camping trip. There we will spend time enjoying the outdoors and getting to know each other. Then we will head back at Arrowhead for the main aspect of our training.
Back at Arrowhead we will have our days full of study, play, and times to just hangout. Our typical day will start with our "Family Documents" which are readings and devotions from some of the many great classic Christian saints of old. These will feature godly men and women whose lives and ministries have helped many walk more deeply with Christ. Then throughout the day we will have class and outdoor times to look at these three main topics:
Servanthood
Discipleship
The Christian Disciplines

Each evening we will have outside events and have times around the campfire.
During b.a.s.i.c., students are involved in exploring God’s Word, memorizing Bible verses, and practical training to develop their servant-leadership skills.
Some of the things we will be doing:
exploring John 14 - 17
- memorizing key Biblical passages
- seeing God’s calling and gaining a passion for the world
- getting one-on-one development in servant-leadership skills and spiritual formation
- involved in worship & prayer times
- learning how to hear from God
- participating in special events around the camp
Our hope is for each student in b.a.s.i.c. to have as much one-on-one instruction by our trained counselors as possible. Therefore we limit the amount of students in each program. Each of the two week programs can hold up to about 20 campers. Sing up soon.

Come let us learn together what God has in store for you.
Kinetic Discipleship |

Action
We long to touch people with God's love so that they are transformed not only in person but their society also. What good is it if we just 'read' about Bonhoeffer, Mother Teresa, and others who saw themselves as agents of change in their societies, and if we never live it out. We do this not out of duty, but out of the privilege that God calls us to love with compassion.
To explore God’s calling and develop a passion for the world.
Students who have completed the two week b.a.s.i.c. can, the following year, be a part of Kinetic discipleship. During b.a.s.i.c. each student has time to explore God’s calling on their life. Also during the time together we will look at the role of being a disciple of Christ.
Now, in Kinetic, we will put God’s love into motion. During the first year together we work to understand our faith. This year we want to put our faith into action: kinetic faith which leads to kinetic discipleship.
Putting our faith into motion means that we apply heavily what we have been learning. How do we do this here at Arrowhead? We will do a large service project, not here but in Bolivia.
Ministry
Our connection to Bolivia comes from our dear sister, Dr. Heather Mickelson, who does chiropractic and local missions work in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Most of her work is done by traveling to different orphanages helping and caring for kids of all ages. Our main focus will be working in the orphanages as we did the past few years with our Kinetic groups preaching the good news through evangelism and demonstrating this good news through compassion..

Pray about joining these discipleship ministries. |
